Cross-Connection Control & Backflow Prevention
The Cross-Connection Control Unit of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department was established in order to implement the rules of Section 62-550 of the Florida Administrative Code, which requires public water systems to establish cross-connection control programs to detect, prevent and eliminate cross-connections that may create an imminent and substantial danger to the public health.
It is our goal to provide the public with information about backflow prevention and cross-connection control in order to better educate the citizens of Miami-Dade County as to the dangers of unprotected cross-connections.
Working together we can protect our drinking water for future generations.
