The purpose of the Reuse Feasibility Study is to assess the feasibility of using reclaimed water in Miami-Dade County, particularly in light of current water supply issues. This Study identifies the constraints and opportunities for water reclamation; establishes the level of treatment and possible infrastructure needed for various scenarios; identifies potential projects and provides estimates of reclaimed water volumes; develops low, medium and high reclaimed water scenarios as required by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP); and provides preliminary costs along with an initial evaluation of the impact those costs could have on rates.

The Reuse Feasibility Study Update is a high- to mid-level planning study. Prior to the implementation of the projects identified herein, additional engineering and technical analysis will be required.
