Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department wins NACWA Gold and Silver Awards

The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) recently recognized the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department's (WASD) three Waste Water Treatment Plants with Gold and Silver Peak Performance Awards.

WASD's North District, Central District and South District treatment facilities were recognized for their complete and consistent compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit requirements for 2010.

"The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department is extremely proud to receive these awards," said WASD Director John Renfrow, P.E. "It is symbolic of the department's commitment to serve the needs of county residents, businesses and visitors by providing high-quality drinking water and wastewater disposal services for 2.2 million each day."
