Water main break in West Kendall area
A 48-inch water main ruptured on Miller Road (Southwest 56th Street) and Southwest 129th Avenue. Traffic has been diverted away from the affected area. Westbound traffic has been closed on Miller Road from Southwest 122nd Avenue through 137th Avenue.
Flooding resulted from the break and residents in the surrounding area are experiencing low water pressure. Repair crews are on site to begin repairs.
As of this time, no boil water order has been issued.
This is a regional transmission main that provides water to the southwest area of the County. Area residents are advised to conserve water usage during the repair process.
Customers can expect lower than normal water pressure during peak water demand times - which are the morning and evening hours. Please be conscious of the water that you use during these times.
