Water main put back in service, Southwest Miami-Dade may experience cloudy water temporarily
The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department is putting the repaired 48-inch water transmission line back into service early Friday morning. The water transmission line that serves the Southwest portion of Miami-Dade County ruptured on Sept. 20th on Miller Road and Southwest 129th Avenue.
The line has been repaired and flushed, however this may result in some residents experiencing some cloudiness when they first turn on their faucets or showers. Allow the water to run for a few minutes and it will clear.
There is no boil water order. If you have any questions regarding the quality of your water, please call the WASD lab at 786-552-4181.
It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. If you have any questions or concerns about your service, call the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department's Communications Center at 305-274-9272, 24 hours a day.
