Precautionary boil water order lifted

(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- The Precautionary Boil Water Order issued on Friday, Jan. 6, that affected the area of Northwest 36th Street between Northwest 36th Avenue to 38th Avenue has now been lifted. Residents no longer have to boil the water used for drinking and cooking.

The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) has tested water samples each day since the Precautionary Boil Water Order was issued. All samples have returned clear.

The precautionary boil water order was issued after a 12-inch water main failed near the intersection of Northwest 36th Street and Northwest 37th Avenue, resulting in water service being shut down to the area. WASD crews repaired the water main and resumed service to the area later that day.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. If you have any questions or concerns about your service, call the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department's Communications Center at 305-274-9272, 24 hours a day.
