One westbound lane closed during water line preventative maintenance

(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department is conducting preventative maintenance to an eight-inch water main on Bird Road (Southwest 40th Street). In order to complete these improvements that are essential for continued service delivery, one westbound lane will be closed.

The project is scheduled to take place from 8 p.m. Tuesday night  to 1 a.m. Wednesday morning. Once completed, the lane will be reopened to traffic. Traffic will be diverted between Southwest 123rd and 126th Avenues.

Because there is a slight chance for lower water pressure, the department scheduled the job to be performed during low peak demand, as well as low traffic times.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. If you have any questions or concerns about your service, call the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department's Communications Center at (305) 274-9272, 24 hours a day.
