Water and Sewer construction project may temporarily affect water pressure
(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) is replacing a portion of a 54-inch water main on Red Road between West 49th and 57th streets in Hialeah.
This project -- a part of the Infrastructure Assessment and Replacement Program (IAARP), which should be completed by March 15th, 2012, is necessary to assist in the continued proactive replacement of portions of the transmission line to minimize potential pipe failures.
As a result, some residents in the Hialeah and Miami Lakes areas may experience intermittent lower than normal pressure until the project is completed. Customers are being asked to conserve the water they use especially during the high peak times of the evenings and early morning hours.
