Contractor damages sewer main, affects traffic
(MIAMI, March 27, 2012) – A contractor broke a 12-inch sewer line at the corner of Southwest 112th Avenue and Southwest 107th Street. Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department staff is on-site making repairs.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area as there will be intermittent closings of the northbound lanes of 112th Avenue and eastbound lanes of 107 Street. Signs have been placed along the nearby canal banks warning residents to avoid recreational activities in the canals.
Homeowners should also conserve water use this evening as repairs are being completed.
