Lane closures for water main replacement

(MIAMI, September 25, 2012) – The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) will begin replacements to portions of a 42-inch water main at 7 a.m. on Thursday, September 27th that will continue for two weeks, and will result in temporary road closures.

The work will begin on Toledo Street and Bird Road and result in the closure of the northern, eastbound lane. The construction will continue in the City of Coral Gables at Bird Road and Southwest 38th Court, requiring the closure of the southern eastbound lane. While in Coral Gables the work will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The construction will then conclude at Southwest 28th Lane and Southwest 31st Street in the City of Miami and result in one lane being closed. This portion of the project will operate seven days a week.
