Lane closures for water main replacement

(MIAMI, October 10, 2012) – The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) continues replacing portions of a 42-inch water main. Work is expected to conclude Sunday, October 14th.

This will result in temporary road closures. Affected areas in the City of Coral Gables include Toledo Street and Bird Road resulting in the closure of the northern, eastbound lane; Bird Road and Southwest 38th Court, requiring the closure of the southern eastbound lane. While in Coral Gables, the work will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The portion of construction in the City of Miami - at Southwest 28th Lane and Southwest 27th Avenue - will operate seven days a week and results in the western, southbound lane being closed.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit www.miamidade.gov/water.
