Lane closures for water main repair
(MIAMI, March 12, 2013) – The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) will begin repairing portions of a 48-inch water main at 9 p.m. tonight through 6 a.m. Wednesday morning that will affect traffic at Bird Road (Southwest 40th Street) and Southwest 72nd Street.
On Southwest 40th Street, the eastbound turn lane will be closed heading north and on Southwest 72nd Avenue, the northbound turning lane heading west will be closed. On Southwest 72nd Avenue, the southbound lane will be closed and drivers will have the option to only go eastbound or westbound. Two westbound lanes on Southwest 40th Street will be closed, leaving one lane open for traffic.
