WASD construction results in lane, ramp closures on NE 36th Street

(MIAMI, July 10, 2013) – The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) will begin a six to eight week construction project on Northeast 36th Street from just east of Biscayne Boulevard to just west of Biscayne Bay tonight.

Installation of a 12-inch water pipe will begin at 9 p.m. each evening and conclude each morning at 5:30 a.m. The job will run six days a week until it is substantially completed.

The construction will require lanes of traffic to be reduced to one lane east and west on Northeast 36th Street. The I-195 westbound ramp that exits onto Northeast 36th Street will also be closed nightly tonight through Sunday with the exception of Saturday night. All lanes reopen to traffic each morning.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit www.miamidade.gov/water.
