Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department repair work may result in lower than normal water pressure for parts of Miami-Dade County

(MIAMI, July 11, 2013) – The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) began repair work on a 54-inch water main on West Fourth Avenue in Hialeah (also known as Red Road) between West 20th – 25th Streets.

The work will result in lower than normal water pressure for the west side of Miami-Dade County including the cities of Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens and Miami Lakes for the next 10 – 15 days.

The department is requesting that customers conserve water usage during the high peak hours of the early morning and evening hours when the demand is greatest.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit www.miamidade.gov/water.
