Update — Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department construction project to result in additional closed lanes on Sunset Drive
(MIAMI, August 26, 2013) – The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) construction project that began on Saturday on Sunset Drive and Southwest 109th Avenue requires additional lane closures to accommodate the repair work. Currently, two westbound lanes have been closed to traffic on Sunset Drive between Southwest 107th Avenue and 109th Place. One lane of west bound traffic has been re-routed to one of the east bound lanes, requiring one of the east bound lanes to be closed.
The project requires the replacement of a portion of a 96-inch water line on Sunset Drive at Southwest 109th Avenue. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
