Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department pipe project may result in cloudy water

(MIAMI, August 28, 2013) – The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) is conducting a pipe evaluation of a 48-inch water line tonight and Thursday night that may result in cloudy water for parts of the County. The department is evaluating a portion of pipe located on Miller Drive (Southwest 56 Street) at Southwest 97th Avenue. The work will begin at 10 p.m. each night and conclude by 2 a.m. the following morning.

The area of Miller Drive and south to Kendall may temporarily have cloudy water as a result. If your water is cloudy, let the faucet run for a few minutes and the water will clear. It is safe to drink.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit www.miamidade.gov/water.
