Sewer Pipe Installation to Require Traffic Detours
(MIAMI, February 6, 2014) – As a part of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD)’s Infrastructure Assessment and Replacement Program, crews will be installing approximately 700 linear feet of a 30-inch sewer pipe on Southwest 3rd Avenue from Southwest 11th Street to Southwest 13th Street. Crews will also construct a connection to an existing 84-inch force main at Southwest 15th Road.
Traffic will be detoured on a daily basis between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. as work progresses. Signs will be posted to indicate where vehicular traffic will be routed away from Southwest 3rd Ave. This project will begin on Monday, February 10th and be completed June 4th.
Traffic delays could result during the project, so commuters may want to take alternate routes.
It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit www.miamidade.gov/water.
