Water Main Break Results in Lower Water Pressure, Requires Traffic Detours
(MIAMI, February 13, 2014) – A 12-inch water main broke at Southwest 49th Avenue and Southwest 86th Street. Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) crews are on site and are making repairs.
Crews had to lower water pressure in the area to make the repairs, so residents who live along Southwest 49th Avenue between Southwest 80th-88th Streets may experience lower than normal water pressure.
Traffic is being detoured on Southwest 49th Avenue between Southwest 82nd and Southwest 86th Street, so drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.
It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit www.miamidade.gov/water.
