Pipe relocation project will result in lower than normal water pressure
(MIAMI, May 8, 2014) – The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) will begin a water line relocation for a portion of a 54-inch water pipe in Hialeah that will result in lower than normal water pressure for the residents of Hialeah, Opa Locka and Miami Lakes for the duration of the construction project.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday night, WASD crews will begin the relocation of the pipe located at West 53rd Street and Red Road. The project is expected to take 10 days to complete. There will not be any impact to traffic because it is being completed within an established construction zone.
It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit www.miamidade.gov/water.
