Update to lane closure on NW 79th Street due to water line testing

Due to inclement weather the road closure Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) had to reschedule a job to test a recently repaired 12-inch water main in the City of North Bay Village. The lane closure is now scheduled for Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. and will reopen at 6 a.m. Thursday morning – weather permitting.

Traffic will be affected on Northwest 79th Street between Hispañola Avenue to East Treasure Drive. The northern east-bound lane and southern west-bound lane will be closed, but two lanes in each direction will remain open for traffic.

Commuters may want to avoid the area during testing hours to avoid possible delays.
