Contractor breaks water main, results in temporary lane closures, low pressure

(MIAMI, MARCH 18, 2015) – A contractor installing guard rails hit a water main on the main land side (next to the toll booth) leaving Key Biscayne. As a result, two of the three lanes will have to be temporarily closed to accommodate the repairs.

Commuters may want to avoid the area until the repairs are complete. During the repairs, residents in the immediate area may notice lower than normal water pressure during peak hours.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit www.miamidade.gov/water.
