Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department Releases 2014 Water Quality Report

(MIAMI, MARCH 27, 2015) – Safe drinking water is a precious natural resource many people take for granted. The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) provides drinking water to nearly 2.3 million people daily and it meets or exceeds all local, state and federal guidelines.

WASD has released its 2014 Water Quality Report - also known as the Consumer Confidence Report (or CCR) – as required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to produce an annual CCR and distribute a copy to each of its billed customers prior to July 1st.

The CCR provides a snapshot of drinking water quality each year based on the prior year's testing results. The department conducts more than 150,000 water sample tests annually to ensure that the department provides the highest caliber product. WASD is committed to service delivery excellence and utilizing the most advanced methods available, and staff works 24-hours-a-day, year-round to ensure that high quality drinking water is available to our customers.

The CCR is available online. If a customer prefers a hard copy of the report, they can have one mailed to their home for free by calling 786-552-8800.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about Department services and programs, visit our website.
