Precautionary boil water order for a portion of Aventura now lifted

(MIAMI, May 14, 2015) – The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) has completed sampling the water in a portion of Aventura that was placed under a Precautionary Boil Water Order on Monday evening due to a 16-inch water main that broke near the area of 19680 and 20000 East Country Club Drive. Testing results have come back within proper standards and the boil water order has been discontinued.

Residents no longer need to boil the water used for cooking and drinking. The residents who were affected included those living at Turnberry Village, Country Club Estates, Promenade of Aventura and surrounding single family homes.

WASD staff will hand deliver the Precautionary Boil Water Lifted notices to the affected properties.

If you have any questions, please contact the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s Communications Center at 305-274-9272, 24 hours a day.
