Water main repair on Red Road to impact water pressure in Northwest Miami-Dade County

(MIAMI, June 16, 2015) – The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) will begin repairs on a portion of the 54-inch water main on Red Road (West 4th Avenue) in Hialeah this evening. At midnight tonight, crews will begin shutting down portions of the water main in anticipation of the repair work which is expected to be ongoing during the next six to eight weeks.

As a result, residents in the Northwest portion of Miami-Dade County, including the municipalities of Hialeah, Miami Lakes and Opa Locka, may experience lower than normal water pressure for the duration of the repair.

It is the priority of the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For additional information about WASD services and programs, visit www.miamidade.gov/water.

It is the policy of Miami Dade County to comply with all of the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  For sign language interpreters, assistive listening devices or materials in accessible format, please contact the department at (786) 469-4682
