High Water Bills
You may be throwing money down the drain and not even know it! Leaks, incorrect meter readings and even vandalism can be reasons you receive a high water bill. The Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department understands your concerns and as a courtesy would like to help you with understanding why your bill may be so high.
Read about circumstances that can lead to a water bill adjustment.
Past Due Account
Payments received after the past due date indicated on the bill will be subject to a 10 percent late charge. If payment is not received within 10 days of the due date, service is subject to disconnection and the account may be terminated.
The Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department is proud to offer some of the lowest water and sewer rates across the country and is consistently looking for ways to provide quality service to our customers. The current rate structure encourages water conservation and remains low for most single and multi-family residences customers who have a low-to-average consumption.
It is unlawful without the written consent of Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) to tamper with any of the utility fixtures that service your property. The Clerk of the Courts manages the code enforcement process and a Civil Violation Notice is issued to either the property owner or tenant when a tampering violation is found.
Customers may make payments and work directly with a Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Customer Service Representative.
