Water Conservation

Make the resolution to save more water

In Miami-Dade County, we use approximately 141 gallons of water per capita per day. Why not resolve to use less water?

Installing WaterSense labeled showerheads just adds up!

New-model, high-efficiency showerheads make the money and water savings pour in. And it still means you’ll get your old showerhead’s experience. WaterSense showerheads are independently certified to use 20 percent less water, while meeting federal performance guidelines for spray force and water coverage.

Checking your irrigation timer

It’s a great time to make sure your irrigation system timer is set correctly. The Miami-Dade Cooperative Extension Service offers some simple instructions for those with mechanical timers.

Having a properly-set irrigation timer also ensures Water Restrictions are being followed.
