The work required for this Contract shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Work under this Contract includes furnishing of all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment and performing all operations required to perform the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. Work includes maintenance, of the existing roadway street lighting system, hereinafter referred to as the Lighting System at designated sites within Miami-Dade County road along County or FDOT maintained arterial roadways. Work includes but is not limited to: Patrolling, reporting, repairing, replacing, responding to emergency outages and knockdowns returning the facility to normal operation and performing preventive maintaining to Lighting System, as specified under PWWM Specifications, Article 715ME, Roadway Lighting System Maintenance and these Special Provisions. The Lighting System to be maintained under this Contract consists of a minimum of 8,277 lighting fixtures and their components. Fixtures can be increased or decrease as new corridors are added to or removed from the Lighting System. The Lighting System includes light pole assemblies, foundation base, wiring, luminaire assemblies, conductors, grounding system, pole cable distribution system, fuses, underdeck fixtures, ballast assemblies, pull boxes, conduits, load center, transformers, control devices, and other related miscellaneous subsystems and appurtenances necessary for the operation of a safe and efficient Lighting System.
Technical Certification :
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: A. Certificate of Competency Requirement: 1. At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section 10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and these Solicitation and Contract Documents, the Bidder must hold a valid, current, and active: a. Certificate of Competency from the County’s Construction Trades Qualifying Board as an Electrical Contractor; or b. Certification, as an electrical contractor provided by the State of Florida Electrical Contractors' Licensing Board, pursuant to the provisions of Section 489.511 of the Florida Statutes (F.S.).or A. Experience Requirement: 1. The Bidder, through full time personnel employed by the Bidder, must demonstrate experience as the prime contractor in projects with scopes comparable to the Project Scope of Work. Demonstrate the experience requirement by: a. Providing a detailed description of completed projects, similar to the Project Scope of Work, in which the Bidder is currently engaged or has completed within the past five years. List and describe those projects performed for government clients, similar size private entities, and any work performed for the County. The description should identify for each project (1) the client, (2) description of work, (3) total dollar value of the contract, (4) contract duration, (5) customer contact person and phone number for reference, (6) statement or notation of whether Bidder is/was the prime contractor or subcontractor, and (7) the results of the project; or b. Pursuant to Section 255.20, Florida Statues (F.S.), the County may consider a bid from a Bidder, meeting the license requirements above, in good standing that has been prequalified and considered eligible by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) under Section 337.14, F.S. and Chapter 14-2, Florida Administrative Code, to perform the work described in the Contract Documents. Contractors seeking consideration under this Paragraph shall submit along with the Bid Documents for review and consideration, current copy(ies) of their FDOT Certificate(s) of Qualification in the Electrical Work Class, Certification of Work Underway, and Status of Contract(s) On Hand. The Contractor shall furnish Certificates of Insurance to the County prior to commencing any operations under this Contract. The certificates shall clearly indicate that the Contractor has obtained insurance, in the type, amount and classification required by these Contract Documents.
