Work under this Contract includes the furnishing of all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment and performing all operations required to construct the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. Work includes but is not limited to the construction and installation of drainage structures, French drains, miscellaneous drainage improvements, grading, sodding, and miscellaneous roadway restoration including construction of concrete curbs and gutters and sidewalks where needed in accordance with the construction plans and specifications provided. LOCATIONS OF WORK: NW 75th Street & NW 16th Avenue NW 69th Street between NW 32nd Avenue and NW 35th Avenue SW 185th Street from SW 115th Avenue to SW 117th Avenue SW 30th Street from SW 100th Avenue to SW 99th Place

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: At the time of Bid and pursuant to the requirements of Section10-3 of the Code of Miami-Dade County, Florida and these Solicitation and Contract Documents, the bidder must hold a valid, current, and active: Certificate of competency from the County’s Construction Trades Qualifying Board as a General Engineering Contractor or as a Specialty Engineering Contractor, commensurate to the requirements of the Scope of Work, in one or more engineering crafts to include pipeline engineering contractor or paving engineering contractor. The specialty contractor shall subcontract with a qualified contractor any work which is incidental to the specialty but is specified in the aforementioned Code as being the work of other than that of the Engineering Specialty for which certified; Or, Certification, as a general contractor, or as a underground utility and excavation contractor, provided by the State of Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board, pursuant to the provisions of Section 489.115 of the Florida Statutes (F.S.). INDEMNIFICATION AND INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: The Contractor shall furnish to Public Works and Waste Management Department, 111 N.W. 1 Street, Miami, Florida 33128, and Certificate(s) of Insurance which indicate that insurance coverage has been obtained which meets therequirements as outlined below: a) Worker’s Compensation Insurance for all employees of the contractor as required by Florida Statue 440. b) Commercial General Liability Insurance on a comprehensive basis, including Explosion, Collapse and Underground Liability coverager in an amount not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage. Miami-Dade County must be shown as an additional insured with respect to this coverage. c) Automobile Liability Insurance covering al owned, non-owned and hired vehicles used in connection with the work, in an amount not less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage.
