Racial profiling in minority communities & preventing youth violence in the summer Community Relations Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Committee meeting

MIAMI – The Miami-Dade County Community Relations Board (CRB) under the Office of Community Advocacy will hold its Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Committee meeting on Thursday, May 31 at 11 a.m. at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, Miami, FL.

All meetings of the Community Relations Board are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and learn more about the work of the board. There will be an opportunity for attendees to comment at the beginning of the meeting.

This meeting will focus on the utilization of law enforcement to racially profile minority communities (ex. Starbucks, Airbnb, Parks, College Campuses, etc.)

Additionally, we will discuss end of school year initiatives to prevent an increase of youth violence during the summer.
