Asian-American Advisory Board to co-host the Thai Flood Relief Fund Reception

 

MIAMI – The Asian-American Advisory Board, under the Office of Community Advocacy, will co-host with the Thai-American Association of South Florida the Thai Flood Relief Fund Reception. Some 32 provinces and more than 400,000 households in Thailand have been affected by flash floods, landslides and windstorms. More than 35,000 houses were damaged and there were 39 deaths. The event has a cost of $20 that includes food and a drink. The reception will be taking place from 2 p.m. -  6 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Sushi Masa & Thai Cuisine, 2240 NW 19th Street #1201, Boca Raton, FL 33431.

Sushi Masa & Thai Cuisine is donating the venue and Gummakonda Reddy Foundation, Eastland Food, Malakor ThaiIsaan Restaurant, Tubtim Thai Restaurant, and Bangkok City are other event sponsors. Thai Local bands will be participating to include Nipawan Roots and Pet Chanthasorn.

The Thai-American Association of South Florida has set up a donation website. All proceeds from the reception and online donations will go to the flood victims in Thailand.
