Miami-Dade County Asian-American Advisory Board to donate 10,000 masks to the County’s Office of Emergency Management

 

MIAMI – In order to help the community during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Asian-American Advisory Board, under the Office of Community Advocacy, will assist Director General David Chien of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office of Miami with the donation of 10,000 masks at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 4. Emergency Management Director Frank Rollason will be receiving the donation at the Miami-Dade County Fire Rescue Department Warehouse, 8105 NW 77th Street, Miami, Florida.

Established on July 22nd, 1997, the Asian-American Advisory Board was created to work in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners, administration, community, and all agencies in Miami-Dade County, with respect to matters pertaining to the Asian-American community. In addition, the Board and its staff routinely assist people with their grievances and intervene with the appropriate parties to seek a resolution to issues the community faces.
