The Miami-Dade Criminal Court is comprised of two levels of operations: Circuit Criminal and County Criminal.

You can request a certified criminal history disposition letter associated with criminal felony and misdemeanor cases. A criminal history disposition letter provides the results of a local case record search.

You may request a certified criminal history disposition letter in person by scheduling an appointment.

Information on your court hearing

You can sign up for e-Notify, to receive text or email reminders for upcoming hearings. You may also visit our Criminal Justice Online System and check the status of your case.

Circuit Criminal

Circuit Criminal receives and processes all felony affidavits of probable cause, grand jury indictments and arrest warrants. This section conducts two felony bond hearings daily via a video transmission between the courtroom and pre-trial detention center.

Felony bond hearings

Felony bond hearings are now being conducted virtually. Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.  Information regarding remote access to bond hearing sessions and other Criminal Court sessions by divisions can be obtained by visiting the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida.

On weekends and holidays, bond hearings are conducted once a day immediately following the misdemeanor jail arraignments which are at 9 a.m. All hearings are held in Courtroom 1-5 on the first floor of the  Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building.

The calendar of persons scheduled to appear at the bond hearing is available for viewing immediately prior to each bond hearing session. A copy is available outside Courtroom 1-5 on weekends and holiday and at the security desk on the first floor.

Misdemeanor Jail Arraignments

Misdemeanor jail arraignments are conducted Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 5-3, on the fifth floor of the  Richard E. Gerstein Justice Building 
 
On weekends and holidays, jail arraignments are held once each day at 9 a.m., in Courtroom 5-3, located on the fifth floor. 
 
The calendar of persons scheduled to appear at the hearing is available immediately prior to each hearing. A copy is available every day outside the corresponding courtroom and Monday through Friday at the information window located in Suite 8100.
