EFiling Services

The Florida Courts e-Filing Portal is a statewide web site mandated by the Florida Legislature and the eFiling Authority that provides online filing capability to users with a single login.

eSummons

You can file 20-day summons on the eFiling portal for the adoption, circuit civil, county civil, family/domestic relations and probate divisions. This does not include 5-day or pre-trial summons.

Civil Summons (20 Day For Personal Service on a Natural Person)
Civil Summons (20 Day for Corporate Service on General Forms)
Family Summons (20 Day Summons for Personal Service on an Individual Person)

Note:
  • Once the summons is received and accepted via the ePortal, it will automatically be docketed and reflected on the docket as eFiling summons received but will not be executed.
  • Upon issuance, the summons will be reflected on the docket as summons issued and will be available on the Miami-Dade County Clerk of the Courts Online Case Search for retrieval.
  • For those who wish to continue to come in person to have their summons issued, this service will still be available at the civil, family and district court locations.

If you need to follow up on the status of your application, contact the TSD Service Center at 305-349-5900 or send an email to: [email protected]

Filings for a felony, misdemeanor or Traffic Case

To access filings, dockets and documents for a Felony, Misdemeanor, or Traffic case, please visit Miami-Dade County Criminal Justice Online System.

To file a subsequent pleading on a misdemeanor case, the portal requires a court type to be selected. Since misdemeanor case types can be COUNTY ORDINANCE (CO); MISDEMEANOR (MM); MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE (MO); or NON CRIMINAL INFRACTION (IN), the filer may select either of the available choices if the actual case type is unknown. The portal knows the correct court type and will return it onscreen as a part of the validation process.

A filer may eFile a Petition To Seal or a Petition To Expunge on a felony or misdemeanor case via the portal.  Attorneys must contact the judicial assistant for a court date for felony cases.
