Commissioner Monestime to host press conference on upcoming State of Black Miami forum


MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime, joined by Florida Memorial University President Dr. Roslyn Artis and Miami Gardens Mayor Oliver Gilbert, will host a press conference on Wednesday, April 5 at 10 a.m. at Florida Memorial University’s Wellness Center, 15800 NW 42nd Ave. to discuss the upcoming State of Black Miami community-wide forum scheduled for Wednesday, April 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30p.m. The press conference also will announce FMU’s collaboration with various community stakeholders in advancing the conversation of the State of Black Miami into actionable initiatives, legislation and other strategic opportunities for the upliftment of the Black diaspora in Miami-Dade County.
