Commissioner Monestime issues statement on the death of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime has issued the following statement in response to the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse.

“The country of Haiti is once again hit by violence, as we woke up to the news of the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse. It is our prayer that the Haitian people continue to seek peace and solidarity. At this very difficult juncture, we ask everyone to continue to pray for our Haitian constituency and their loved ones in Haiti,” Commissioner Jean Monestime said.
