MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Commission Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson and a host of volunteers distributed about 2,000 Thanksgiving turkeys to residents and community groups on Nov. 26 at her annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway at the Joseph Caleb Center. The event, which also included a free food distribution by Feeding South Florida, drew a large and grateful crowd. It was her last of several turkey giveaways conducted throughout her district over the last several days before this year’s Thanksgiving holiday.

“I am thankful and blessed to be able to provide residents in my community with turkeys to take home to enjoy Thanksgiving with their families,” Chairwoman Edmonson said. “I thank Feeding South Florida for its participation and the generosity of the many sponsors and volunteers who made this day possible.”
