Chairwoman Edmonson to welcome African businesswomen at Going Global International Business Women’s Forum
MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Commission Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson will welcome attendees to the Going Global International Business Women’s Forum on Tuesday, Oct. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Main Library, 101 W. Flagler Street, Auditorium, Miami, FL 33130.
Women leaders from Africa will join their counterparts in South Florida to discuss best practices, exchange ideas, capacity building and global empowerment tools for women in business in Africa. Participants also will explore trade opportunities and how to leverage Miami's position as a Global Trade and Logistics Hub as the point of access for African products. Featured expert panelists will include Jennifer Diaz of Diaz Trade Law, Ankara Miami founder Evelyn Onyejuruwa, and Kim Prenter of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The forum is a direct result of Miami-Dade County’s recent trade mission to Africa.
