Chairwoman Edmonson to celebrate opening of Tuscany Cove senior affordable housing

MIAMI – Miami-Dade County Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson will join the Tacolcy Economic Development Corp. (TEDC) at the opening of Tuscany Cove in Liberty City on Monday, Nov. 18, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the Tuscany Cove courtyard, 5900 NW 7th Ave. in Miami. The complex encompasses 160 units of affordable housing for residents age 55 and over.

The property features one- and two-bedroom apartments with nine-foot ceilings and ample closet space. Amenities include covered parking, security surveillance, washers and dryers for each unit, high efficiency Energy Star appliances and vinyl tile throughout the units. It also features a large resident lounge and indoor fitness center, a media and recreation room, yoga room and computer room/library. Miami-Dade County contributed $3.3 million of Surtax funds toward the construction.
