MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Eileen Higgins, District 5, invites residents to participate in a community meeting on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. via Zoom to discuss Metromover safety protocols in response to recent attacks on the Metromover.

“Our residents depend on the Metromover to get to work, see their family, and take their children to school,” said Commissioner Higgins. “Each and every rider deserves to feel safe while using our transit system. The meeting will allow participants to share their experiences riding the Metromover and will give the Office of the Mayor, Miami-Dade Police Department, and the Department of Transportation and Public Works a chance to explain the changes to safety protocols that are being implemented.
