Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera Announces 2024 Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program for District 6 Business Owners
MIAMI-DADE – Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera is inviting small business owners in District 6 to apply for the annual Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program. Applicants may be eligible to receive up to $5,000 per business for purchasing equipment, supplies, inventory, commercial liability insurance, security systems, advertising, marketing, making minor renovations, salaries/wages, and rent/mortgage.
Applications will be available starting April 1 through April 12, 2024, for pick up at the District 6 Office, 1000 SW 57th Ave., Suite 201, Miami, FL 33144.
All businesses must be located in District 6 and meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Business must be in operation for at least one year
- Must be a for-profit business
- A physical address is required
- No P.O. Box as mailing address allowed
- Home-based businesses can apply
There will be two informational workshops explaining the program requirements; one on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Babcock Park 651 E 4th Ave, Hialeah, FL 33010 and another on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 9:00 AM at the West Miami Recreation Center, 1700 SW 62nd Ave., Miami, FL 33155. Applicants are encouraged to attend one of the two available workshops.
Completed original applications will be accepted from April 1 through April 12, 2024, by 4 p.m. Hand deliver completed applications to the District 6 Office, 1000 SW 57th Ave., Suite 201, Miami, FL 33144. No late applications will be accepted.
