Commissioner Regalado tests positive for COVID-19
MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Raquel Regalado tested positive for COVID-19 today. The Commissioner was tested due to a potential exposure of one of her children on Wednesday. While her test results were positive, she is asymptomatic and in good health.
Commissioner Regalado attended committee meetings on Tuesday in person but practiced social distancing and wore two masks – an N95 mask underneath a cloth mask – the entire time she was in the offices and chamber of the Miami Dade County Commission.
The Commissioner and relevant staff will follow County protocol of isolating for 10 days and being tested until given the all-clear by health professionals. The Commissioner will participate in County Commission and committee meetings virtually until she is cleared.
