Industry roundtable addresses building safety post-Surfside
MIAMI – On Friday, Aug. 13, Miami-Dade County Commissioner Raquel Regalado will join an industry roundtable hosted by the MIAMI Association of REALTORS and Builders Association of South Florida on responses to building safety post-Surfside.
The virtual forum, moderated by WPLG-Ch. 10 reporter Glenna Milberg, will include information on how the tragedy is impacting the real estate, building and condo industries in South Florida and a first glimpse of how local government is framing a response.
Commissioner Regalado, who chairs the County Infrastructure, Operations and Innovations Committee, will chair a special subcommittee created by Commission Chairman Jose “Pepe” Diaz to serve as a clearinghouse of information gathering for the County Commission as they work with Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and local, state and federal partners to make common-sense changes to enhance building safety and consumer confidence.
