Transforming South Miami-Dade neighborhoods
Commissioner Levine Cava, in partnership with Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade, to provide critical home repairs and neighborhood beautification on National Rebuilding Day, April 27
MIAMI-DADE – County Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava is partnering with Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade to sponsor National Rebuilding Day in South Dade on Saturday, April 27 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Approximately 250 volunteers will work together to make repairs to 12 homes and other neighborhood improvements in the Leisure City, Naranja and Princeton communities.
Home repairs are prioritized for seniors, veterans and individuals with disabilities who cannot afford critical repairs like roof replacements, updated electrical wiring and plumbing, and accessibility modifications in bathrooms and kitchens. Other projects will include painting, floor installation, park cleanup, pothole repairs, removal of illegal dumping and more.
Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade is a nonprofit organization that brings volunteers and communities together to preserve homeownership throughout Miami-Dade County. Commissioner Levine Cava has worked closely with Rebuilding Together Miami-Dade for the past three years to invest in much-needed home repairs and neighborhood beatification in South Dade communities.
