Commissioner Levine Cava to announce employee paid leave legislation


MIAMI-DADE – County Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava will be joined by the Families at Work Coalition to announce new legislation that ensures families are provided paid sick and paid family leave to their employees by businesses who do work with the County. The details will be announced at a press conference on Wednesday, January 15, 9:30 a.m. at the SEIU Local 1991, 1601 N.W. 8th Avenue, Miami, Florida 33136.

The Families at Work Coalition is a group of community leaders, workers, clergy/faith-based leaders and unions who advocate for policies that put working families first. Commissioner Levine Cava and these organizations believe that workers deserve to have time to take care of their children, their aging parents, and themselves without the risk of losing a paycheck or their job.
