Commissioner Levine Cava launches ‘Our Community Cares’ series highlighting COVID-19 impacts and assistance
MIAMI-DADE – County Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava recently launched Our Community Cares—Live, a series of live community conversations to discuss how COVID-19 is impacting local communities and the resources available to help.
The virtual conversations take place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4:00 to 4:30 p.m. via Zoom, a remote online platform, and feature experts on a variety of issues related to the coronavirus pandemic. Important information and resources to assist are provided, and participants are encouraged to engage by asking questions and sharing experiences.
Today’s guest is Florida Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services Nikki Fried. Discussion topics will include the impact of COVID-19 on our agriculture industry, consumer fraud issues, school lunches and more. Local residents are encouraged to participate and to share the information with family, friends and neighbors.
