Commissioner McGhee and Women’s History Coalition of Miami-Dade County, Inc. to present Women of Impact Awards Ceremony on March 22

MIAMI-DADE – Commissioner Kionne L. McGhee and the Women’s History Coalition of Miami-Dade County, Inc. are proud to announce the upcoming XXXV Women of Impact Awards Ceremony, a celebration of the remarkable women who have made significant contributions to their communities. The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, at Zoo Miami, 12400 SW 152nd St., Miami, FL 33177.

The 2024 Women of Impact Honorees are Barbara Fonte, Suzy Lord, Rose Martin, Jacques Porter, Stephanie V. Daniels, Lynette Long, Julie Robinson, and Metris Batts-Coley. Additionally, Legacy Awards will be presented to Dr. Helen McGuire, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, and Roz Berrin. The Everyday Hero Award will be bestowed upon Aracely Olvera for her outstanding contributions to the community.

Commissioner McGhee expressed his dedication to honoring and recognizing the incredible women of District 9 and across Miami-Dade County, stating, “I am committed to celebrating the achievements and impact of women in our community. These awards are a tribute to the strength, resilience, and leadership that women bring to every aspect of our society.”

The Women’s History Coalition of Miami-Dade County, Inc. has been dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of women in our community and recognizing the achievements of outstanding women in the community. They are passionate about promoting, empowering, and advocating for programs and events that celebrate the contributions and achievements of women throughout history.
