Vice Chairman McGhee to break ground on new community center and library at Chuck Pezoldt Park


MIAMI-DADE – Vice Chairman Kionne L. McGhee, alongside Miami-Dade Public Library System, Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Space, is hosting a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Community Center and Library on Thursday, April 17 at 10 a.m. at Chuck Pezoldt Park, 16555 SW 157 Ave., Miami, FL 33187.

This new facility will serve as a vital hub for education, recreation, and community engagement, providing residents with access to modern library resources, multipurpose spaces, and enhanced park amenities. As an advocate, Vice Chairman McGhee secured $18.9 million for this project reflecting his commitment to expanding access to public services and fostering a stronger, more connected community.

The groundbreaking event will bring together local leaders, community stakeholders, and residents to celebrate this significant milestone. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the project’s features and the positive impacts it will have on the community.
