Commissioner McGhee monitors investigation into Homestead Police-involved shooting

MIAMI-DADE – Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kionne L. McGhee is monitoring an investigation by the Miami-Dade Police Department Investigation Unit into a Homestead Police-involved shooting that took place in front of Homestead City Hall on Jan. 3.

Commissioner McGhee has been in contact with the Miami-Dade Police Department Investigation Unit, local community leaders, and with the family. “I want to make sure this investigation is done thoroughly so that the community and the family can have truth, justice and closure,” Commissioner McGhee said.
