MIAMI-DADE – Commissioner Kionne L. McGhee, Chairman Jose “Pepe” Diaz, former Commissioner Dennis Moss, Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and community stakeholders celebrated the Oct. 6 opening of the Larcenia J. Bullard Plaza, a Miami-Dade County destination that will be a catalyst for new jobs and entrepreneurship.

“This small-business incubator will empower the community to innovate and create businesses, benefiting the community,” said Commissioner McGhee, who sponsored the legislation for the building’s lease agreement.

The two-story building, at 14508 Lincoln Blvd., is in Richmond Heights along Lincoln Boulevard, between Carver and Bethune drives. The plaza, originally spearheaded by former Commissioner Moss, is one of the capital-improvement projects from Miami-Dade's Building Better Communities General Obligation Bond Program. The late Larcenia Bullard represented South Florida for decades in the Florida Legislature, serving in the House and Senate.
