Commissioner McGhee bankrolls startup costs with a Small Business Bootcamp!
MIAMI-DADE – Commissioner Kionne L. McGhee is taking some of the financial strain off entrepreneurs with his free Small Business Bootcamp. Classes start Nov. 9.
“The goal is to offer guidance to business owners who have already taken the first steps to start their own businesses,” said Commissioner McGhee. “Participants in the bootcamp will have an experienced attorney working on their behalf to complete and submit the documents needed to do business in Miami-Dade County. The attorney(s) are experts at helping entrepreneurs. They work for the Neighbors and Neighbors Association (NANA). For more than 20 years the organization has helped small businesses in Miami-Dade become economically successful.”
Entrepreneurs in the bootcamp will receive invaluable assistance. A range of fees will be paid for them including: the cost of their license, the Local Business Tax Receipt and fees for the Florida Division of Corporations, known as Sunbiz.
Commissioner McGhee says, “I don’t want startup costs to be an impediment to those who want to do business in and with Miami Dade County. This free bootcamp is an unparalleled opportunity for business owners to get all their questions answered, their fees covered and expert advice from an attorney.”
Attendees will also learn about the Miami-Dade County vendor pool for contracts, as well as how to apply and secure Miami-Dade County small business grants.
